Greenwich Bus Crash: New Details Released
Police continue to investigate a serious bus crash in Greenwich that sent 10 people to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
GREENWICH, CT - Police continue to investigate a serious bus crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on King Street in Greenwich. Ten people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries after the crash.
Lieutenant John Slusarz said in an email that all of the injured occupants are reported to be in "good to fair condition."
Greenwich Fire said on Twitter that firefighters extricated five people and helped treat 10 others in under 20 minutes. Those same units extinguished a chimney fire on Rex Street a few hours later.

"We wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident," Greenwich Fire said on Twitter.
A call to the Greenwich Fire Department was not immediately returned.

Police said A Countrywide Transportation bus and a Royal Coach Lines school bus collided around 3 p.m. on King Street in Greenwich.
A preliminary investigation determined that one bus was traveling northbound and the other was traveling southbound when they collided, Slusarz said in an email Tuesday evening.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Sergeant Patrick Smyth, who is leading the investigation, at 203-633-8015.
