A Greenwich resident recently won a big cash prize from a scratch-off ticket, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich resident recently hit it big thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.
According to the CT Lottery, the anonymous resident won $25,000 after playing the $500,000 Extravaganza! Second Edition scratch-off game.

The ticket cost $20, and was purchased at Stateline Stationery, the CT Lottery said.
There are over 1.5 million tickets of the scratch-off game, and just 20 $25,000 winners. The grand prize is $500,000.
