Greenwich Choral Society Announces Auditions For Prospective Members
Auditions will be open to Fairfield and Westchester County singers interested in joining the Greenwich Choral Society.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Choral Society has announced auditions for Fairfield and Westchester County singers interested in becoming a member of the area’s premier choral group.
The audition will begin with a discussion of your previous choral/vocal experience with Music Director Christine Howlett. She will lead you in a vocal warm-up to hear your voice and range. If possible, please prepare a song or favorite hymn to perform a cappella or with accompaniment.

If you do not have music available, please just bring yourself! There will be a brief opportunity to sight read and talk about how you learn music and practice on your own in preparation for rehearsals.
Auditions will be conducted for those interested in joining the Greenwich Choral Society on the following dates:

- Tuesday, Sept. 3, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 7, 9:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. or by appointment, as needed
Auditions well be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Riverside Ave., Riverside, CT 06878.
All voice types are invited to schedule a 15-minute audition. Those interested may contact Julianna Irons-Laicher at ironsjulianna@gmail.com or call 940-231-0103 to schedule a date and time.
Performances by the Choral Society this coming season will include: John Rutter’s Gloria, Beethoven’s Mass in C, a program of songs from the Great American Songbook, and a final concert featuring Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra.
