Greenwich Choral Society Announces Its February Concert
The concert will take place at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Choral Society announces its February Concert, "Illuminare: Darkness to Light," a moving, imaginative program featuring American composers Alice Parker, Jake Runestad, and Elizabeth Alexander, with a new work for chorus and orchestra by Elaine Hagenberg.
The concert will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center.
The 95-voice Choral Society will be joined by a guest ensemble, the Vassar College Treble Chorus, under the leadership of the Choral Society’s new music director and conductor, Dr. Christine Howlett.

Tickets are $55, $45 and $25, and are free for students K-12 and for college students with student ID.

Greenwich Choral Society presented its first concert in 1925 with a complement of 30 singers. Since then the group has grown to over 90 singers.
