Greenwich Choral Society Holds Auditions For Prospective Members
Auditions will be conducted on several dates, days and evenings in early September.

From Greenwich Choral Society: The Greenwich Choral Society announces auditions for Fairfield and Westchester County singers interested in becoming a member of the area’s premier choral group. Auditions will be conducted on several dates, days and evenings, during the week of Sept. 3rd for those interested in joining GCS. Sopranos, altos, basses and, especially, tenors are invited to schedule an audition to be held at the First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich. The Choral Society’s performances this season will begin with the December holiday concerts featuring the Poulenc Gloria, works by Charpentier, Faure, Gounod and Saint Saens in addition to traditional songs and carols. A February concert with The Stamford Symphony will feature the Concert Suite of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess along with a selection of choruses from beloved Italian operas. An April concert will include Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise as well as Ralph Vaughn Williams’ Toward an Unknown Region. For those with an interest in joining the Greenwich Choral Society, on Open Sing will be announced for early September to give prospective members a chance to participate in a rehearsal.
