In addition, the American Legion Post 29 recently was the recipient of a new flagpole. Wold, a member of the Captain Matthew Mead Sons of the American Revolution, presented a certificate of appreciation issued to the Legion that acknowledges their century-long patriotism contribution via many venues, like the display of the American flag.

To promote the commemoration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, "challenge coins" were presented by Wold to Legion Commander Dick LeBeau and Greenwich Police Chief Ames Heavey. The coins encourage these organizations to support this upcoming anniversary in future civic projects.

Town Clerk Jackie Budkins, Tax Collector Heather Smeriglio and former state Rep. Livvy Floren also joined these events.
