A Greenwich Community Tag Sale This Weekend

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich will host the tag sale on Saturday.

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich will hold the GREAT Greenwich Tag Sale this Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot on 4 Horseneck Lane in Greenwich.

This is the Club’s first tag sale of its kind and organizers expect a large turnout as bargain hunters scour the Club’s treasure trove of goods generously donated by Greenwich residents. Organizers, comprised of BGCG members’ parents, board and staff are planning a “GREAT” sale with finds that are in ‘like new’ condition including houseware, collectibles, furniture, toys, art supplies, jewelry, designer handbags and more. Everything is priced to sell.

Michele Errico and Joe Munoz along with their children, Sofia, age 7 and Christopher, age 9 are the catalysts behind this event. “My kids really love the Club and wanted to do something to help fundraise for it. It’s in their nature to want to do for others, so from the mouths of babes, the Tag Sale came to fruition. They are going to help sell goods and bake sale treats on Saturday,” said Michele Errico, Tag Sale chair.

There are over one thousand items for sale. Volunteers from Diageo will help with moving the inventory in preparation of the event on Saturday. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The sale will be held rain or shine. If it rains, the tag sale will take place inside the Club at the same location. Parking is available in the public municipal lot across the street from the building.

100% of the proceeds from the sale will go in support of Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich members ages 6-18. The members benefit from an array of programs such as tutoring, swimming lessons, SAT preparation, computer training, hockey, art classes, homework support, dance and even summer camp at Camp Simmons.
