"This [case] – they did a lot of work on it over some time and were at the right place and the right time," said Slusarz during a press briefing Monday. "It was a good arrest. It was more than a motor vehicle stop. This was part of a larger investigation."
Rivera was charged with criminal attempt to sell narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Hrnciar was charged with criminal attempt to possess narcotics.
Police released Rivera after he posted a $1,000 bond, and released Hrnciar on a promise to appear. Both are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 26.
