Greenwich Crash Knocks Down Wires, Temporarily Closes Road
The crash occurred on Thursday morning, Sept. 20.

GREENWICH, CT — A crash knocked down a utility pole and wires on Brookside Drive in Greenwich early Thursday morning, leading to the temporary closure of a portion of the road, according to Greenwich police.
Details about the crash - including whether there were injuries - were not immediately available, but Brookside was closed for the investigation and clean up between West Putnam Avenue and Field Point Road.
As of 9:17 a.m., 43 Eversource customers in Greenwich reportedly were without power, according to the utility company.
