Greenwich Schools Schedule Change for Thursday

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Public Schools will be closed Thursday due to the pending storm.
The Whitby School will also be closed.
The Board of Selectmen enacted the town's snow emergency policy due to the pending storm that could drop as much as a foot of snow on Greenwich.

On street parking is banned on designated snow emergency routes beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

said Department of Public Works Commissioner Amy Siebert. "As a last resort residents also may use municipal parking lots to park their vehicles."
Town hall will be open regular hours Thursday, but the Board of Selectmen meeting has been postponed to Feb. 10 at 10:30 a.m.
“We have the snow crews, the equipment in place with salt and sand at the ready to tackle the season’s first major storm,” said Greenwich First Selectman Peter J. Tesei. “We are good to go.”
