The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Keeping Greenwich a thriving and diverse community to live, work, play and stay. Greenwich has so much to offer, and and I am committed to ensure that all residents and business can access these resources and feel as though our government works for them.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
Experience in the role, during arguably the most challenging of times. As a member of the Board of Selectmen, we deal with the broadest array of issues facing our residents and businesses… public safety, infrastructure, housing, cultural institutions, heath services, local economy, education, and the environment.
Accomplishments:
In my first term, I served as liaison to the Commission on Aging, liaison to Selectman’s Nomination Advisory Committee, Co-Chair of the FS Re-imagine Greenwich Committee, Board of Selectmen representative to the POCD committee on affordable housing and led the development of our municipal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). I have spent over 35 years in the technology sector leading diverse teams and developing high performers. In addition to my career, I have also been a dedicated volunteer for PTAs at each level, PTA Council, Youth Football, and and the RTM.
Other issues:
Improve communication and collaboration amongst others. I use creativity and my ability to communicate and market ideas to foster transparency and accountability. I will continue to focus on: streamlining town processes for residents & businesses; regular action-oriented review of our Plan of Conservation & Development; extending training to the boards, commissions, and committees of the Town; improving access to resources for aging Greenwich residents and their caretakers; support of environmental & sustainability initiatives; and continue to improve the traffic and parking issues that have long plagued our community.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I have lived in Greenwich for over 50 years. My brother (Jay) and sister (Karen) and I were raised by our single mother (Carol). I firmly believe that it is only what you give away that enriches you every day and that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect regardless of our differences.
