Greenwich Family Night: A Movie and A Juggler

The Parks and Rec Department hosts its free family night tonight at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center.

The Department of Parks and Recreation Family Night will be held tonight at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center.

Family Night will start at 7 p.m. with juggler Ned Gelfars, followed by the screening of the movie How to Train Your Dragon on a 9-foot by 12-foot screen at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Gelfars began throwing juggling balls at the age of 12 and performs a show that includes juggling, unicycling and fire-eating, plus good-natured audience participation.

How To Train Your Dragon is a story of a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons when he becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.

Bring lawn chairs, a picnic dinner and the family to enjoy a fun night of entertainment under the stars — and it’s all free.
