Update: Greenwich Barcelona Restaurant Damaged by Fire
Firefighters are still on the scene and travel in the area has been limited to one lane.

GREENWICH, CT - Update 11:30 a.m.: Firefighters are still at the scene of the fire and are checking for fire extension. One lane of Route 1 remains closed at Deerfield Drive.
The fire appears to have come from the back corner of the kitchen, but it doesn't appear to be cooking-related, Fire Marshall Shawn McDonnell told Greenwich Time.
Damage was contained to the interior and includes heat, smoke and water from firefighting efforts.

Original story: The Fire Department is still on the scene of a fire at Barcelona Restaurant at 18 West Putnam Avenue, police said.
No known injuries have been reported, the road is passable and apartments have been evacuated, the Police Department said on Twitter.

West Putnam Avenue at Greenwich Avenue has one lane closed for Fire Department apparatus, officials said.
