GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Girl Scouts and the League of Women Voters of Greenwich are set to host their annual "Women in Government Expo" later this month, offering a free, hands-on civics event for young residents.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Greenwich Town Hall. It is open to children from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
Organizers said the expo is designed to introduce participants to local government and civic engagement through interactive activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet women in town leadership roles and learn how government decisions are made.

The program will also include hands-on activities such as voting for a favorite Girl Scout cookie, stamping a civic passport, and touring Town Hall.
The first 200 participants who pre-register will receive a patch, and Girl Scouts in attendance will have the opportunity to earn democracy and citizenship badges.
