Greenwich Gives Valiant Effort In Loss To Darien In Title Game
The hard-fought, Class LL Championship football game was played in the snow at Stamford's Boyle Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 9.

STAMFORD, CT — Under wonderfully snowy conditions Saturday morning, the Darien Blue Wave football team repeated as Class LL Connecticut State champions with a 31-22 victory over rival Greenwich. The game was played before a raucous crowd at Stamford High School's Boyle Stadium.
After trailing at the half 21-13, Greenwich fought its way back to pull to 24-22, reports the Darien News. But Darien was able to score a touchdown late to seal the victory.
