Greenwich Green & Clean Announces Launch Of Poster Contest
The poster contest is being held in conjunction with the annual International Coastal Cleanup this September.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Green & Clean (GG&C) announces the launch of a poster contest in conjunction with the annual International Coastal Cleanup this September.
This global initiative focuses on reducing marine debris and enhancing ocean health. The contest is designed to encourage young artists from the K-12 schools in Greenwich to contribute their creativity to this vital environmental cause.
Submission Guidelines

- Eligibility: Open to all students in Greenwich schools across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.
- Art Requirements: Original artwork to be submitted in digital format (JPEG, PNG, PDF), with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, 18x24 inches.
- Submission Deadline: Aug. 1, 2025, via the Greenwich Green & Clean website.
Include the following information prominently on your poster:
- Event Name: International Coastal Cleanup
- Event Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
- Event Time: 8 am – 12 pm
- Location: Tod's Point
- Organizer: Greenwich Green & Clean

Artists are encouraged to create impactful visuals that depict the critical need to combat marine pollution and its effects on marine life, ecosystems, and human communities.
The competition is divided into three categories based on school level, with winners competing for the top three overall positions.
Prizes
- Grand Prize: Two tickets to the Maritime Aquarium. Plus, the winning poster will be used to publicize the event. First-place certificate.
- Second Place: Two tickets to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center and a second-place certificate.
- Third Place: Third Place Certificate.
- Honorable Mentions: Recognition in our digital gallery and on certificates.
Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, originality, adherence to the theme, and visual impact.
Judging will involve community leaders, including the founding chairman of GG&C. Winners will be announced on Aug. 7, on the Greenwich Green & Clean website and social media, with a virtual exhibition of top entries to follow.
The International Coastal Cleanup mobilizes volunteers globally to clear trash from coastlines and waterways, aiming to foster healthier, trash-free seas. This poster contest offers young artists a platform from which to spread environmental awareness and drive community action towards preserving oceans.
