Players called out the terms "Hitler" and "Stalin" to indicate a defense shift.

GREENWICH, CT—Greenwich High Headmaster Chris Winters addressed students after it was revealed that the freshman football team used defensive shifts called "Hitler" and "Stalin" during games.
Winters said the adults involved in the situation have admitted a mistake was made and that apologies needed to be made to those who were hurt by the terms, according to the Greenwich Time.
The shift names have been in use since last year and were also used at the varsity and junior varisty levels, Greenwich Time reported.
