Greenwich High School Hosting Virtual Thanksgiving Food Drive
Local organizations have set a goal to raise $10,000 to provide Thanksgiving meals to more than 100 families in our Greenwich community.

To help those less fortunate in our community, the GHS Roots & Shoots Club, GHS Neighbor to
Neighbor Club, and GHS Assistant Deans, have set a goal to raise $10,000 to provide Thanksgiving
meals to over 100 families in our Greenwich community.

Through our continued partnership with the Greenwich Social Services Holiday Aide program, this
year’s 10th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will be a VIRTUAL EVENT and will run from October
30th through November 15th.

If you are looking to make a monetary donation that is not online and would like a letter of
contribution, please make checks available to the “Greenwich High School (GHS)” and in the
memo line, please write “Thanksgiving Fundraiser.” Checks can be delivered to Ms. Foster in
Student Activities. Student Activities can also accept credit cards for donations.
Please note: Non-perishable items CANNOT be accepted at GHS this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Looking to donate items? See the note below.
FOOD DONATIONS - Drop off at Neighbor to Neighbor
Any physical food donations can be dropped off directly at or local Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry @ 248 E. Putnam Ave. For more information, visit their website about weekly pick drop off events:
- Tuesday 9am-11am (drive thru) located across the street from St. Catherine of Siena Parish
on Riverside Ave – Hosted by the St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes Parish – Social Justice
Committee
- Thursday 10am-12pm (drive thru) located in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Church in
Riverside
Please consider donating healthy foods that are low-sodium and high in protein.
Expired foods cannot be accepted.
