Greenwich Historical Society's Summer Concert Series Begins June 2

The historical society's "Music on the Great Lawn" concert series will begin this week.

GREENWICH, CT — Summer is officially underway at the Historical Society on June 2 with an encore performance by Merlin at the opening of the Music on the Great Lawn series.

The popular five-piece band, led by Greenwich's own Bob Capazzo, is known for their rock classics and engaging high energy, raise-the-roof style. Merlin’s versatile approach will span various musical styles and appeal to all ages.

"We’re extremely excited and honored to open with Merlin," said Dianne Niklaus, the historical society's manager of marketing communications, in a news release. "They will be fresh off the heels of an appearance at the Greenwich Town Party the weekend before, and at the end of the month, Bob Capazzo will be this year’s Greenwich Sentinel Award recipient at their ‘feel good party of the year’ on June 30. We are thrilled for Bob, whose many talents include photography and martial arts in addition to being a terrific person and family man."
