"From the moment you enter, walls of glass, soaring ceilings, and abundant natural light draw the outdoors in," said Sotheby’s listing agent Cheryl Makrinos in an announcement about the sale. "The principal rooms are thoughtfully oriented to capture golf course views."
The property was purchased in 1977 by publisher Marcel Dekker and his wife, Harriett, who raised their three children there.

Son Russell Dekker recalled growing up in the neighborhood, describing a setting filled with recreational activity and community gatherings.
"Growing up at 41 Londonderry was so great. The neighborhood was full of kids playing together," he said in an announcement. "Being walking distance from Burning Tree Country Club, and an even easier bike ride, my siblings and I spent a lot of time practicing and competing every summer on the tennis, golf, and swim teams. Winter snowstorms allowed for wonderful sledding and cross-country skiing around the fourth and fifth holes."

Dekker noted the swimming pool and tennis court at the house were constant sources of fun.
Much of the home’s original character has been preserved, offering the next owner the option to update or renovate while maintaining its architectural design and setting.
The property is located less than 15 minutes from downtown Greenwich, the Cos Cob train station and the Merritt Parkway.
"It’s truly an irreplaceable setting in the heart of the Burning Tree community," Makrinos said.
