Greenwich Homeowner Injured In Basement Fire: FD Chief
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a piece of equipment exploded and caught fire, Greenwich Fire Chief Joe McHugh said.

GREENWICH, CT — A fire broke out in the basement of a home in Greenwich Tuesday, injuring the homeowner, according to Greenwich Fire Chief Joe McHugh.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a piece of equipment exploded and caught fire in the basement of a home in the 340 block of Riversville Road, McHugh told Patch, noting the blaze damaged the basement and garage area, and caused smoke damage throughout the home.
The homeowner was taken to Westchester County Medical Center, and their condition is unknown at this time, McHugh said.
