Greenwich Imposes Mandatory Water Restrictions
Some prohibited practices: Lawn irrigation system use, washing cars in driveway, no water use for ornamental purposes.

GREENWICH, CT—The town will formally activate its water shortage ordinance in order to stem the use of water in the face of low reservoir levels.
The extended forecast calls for more of the same; mostly dry weather with higher than normal temperatures. That isn't good news for reservoir levels, which are at only 34.9 percent of capacity.
Aquarion has mandated that customers cease to use automatic water irrigation methods. Handheld hoses are fine to use. Greenwich is backing up that with a possible $90 per offense fine.
