Greenwich Library Fees Are Gone: Here's What You Need To Know
The new policy went into effect at Greenwich Library on Sept. 12.
GREENWICH, CT — On Sept. 12, Greenwich Library eliminated fines for overdue materials.
The policy change is in line with other changes made by nationally recognized library systems, and will help improve and increase access to library resources for all Greenwich residents, students and employees.
Here are several things to know following the policy change:

- Residents' accounts are now cleared. If there were any late fines listed on an account, they have now been wiped out
- Library cards are still available. You can come to any library location or use the online from on the library's website. Library cards are available to anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Greenwich.
- The library will stage a replacement fee or lost or damaged items. Fines will still apply to overdue museum and park passes.
