Greenwich Lions Grapefruit Sale To Begin Nov. 14
Members of the Greenwich Lions will be selling Texas ruby red grapefruits at various locations around town on Nov. 14.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Lions grapefruit sale is back, and it begins on Nov. 14.
The price remains at $33 per case for Texas ruby red grapefruits. Members of the Greenwich Lions will be selling at Greenwich Point, in Old Greenwich at Arcadia Road and Sound Beach Avenue, the Perrot Library, Cos Cob Fire House and the Greenwich Transfer Station.
All proceeds will go towards numerous local health and human services initiatives. Recipients include: Greenwich Scholarships, Neighbor to Neighbor, Meals on Wheels, Abilis, and GADC -River House.

About $3,000 will help local children and seniors access eye care and eye glasses, since the Lions rejuvenated and maintain the Lions Low Vision Center at Greenwich Hospital.
The Lions sponsor summer camp scholarships for visually impaired youth and conduct vision screenings at all elementary schools in town. The club also contributes to local and regional agencies working to alleviate food insecurity.
