Greenwich Man Busted On Assault, Unlawful Restraint Charges: GPD
The suspect was arrested after an alleged altercation on March 15.
GREENWICH, CT — A 50-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on March 15 on a host of charges, including assault unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a child, following a physical altercation at a home on Le Grande Avenue, according to Greenwich police.
Rupert Teixeira, of Le Grande Avenue, was arrested just before 7 p.m. Details of the incident were not disclosed, but the physical altercation between Teixeira and another person allegedly resulted in that person suffering minor injuries, said police.
The incident occurred in the presence of children, and police also said that Teixeira allegedly threatened the victim.

Teixeira was charged with:
- Assault, 3rd Degree
- Unlawful restraint, 1st Degree
- Threatening, 2nd Degree
- Disorderly conduct
- Risk of injury to a child
He was held in lieu of a $1,000 and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 18.
