Greenwich Man Charged with Assaulting Elderly Victim: PD

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man was arrested after he assaulted a 64-year-old man following a motor vehicle collision, police said.

Police initially responded to an accident on Arch Street Dec. 9 around 5:30 p.m. It was learned that Benedito Barbosa, 47, struck the victim in the head, police said. The victim needed medical attention

Barbosa was charged with assault of a victim over the age of 60 and second-degree breach of peace.
