Greenwich Man Charged With Assault On His Probation Officer: Police

The incident occurred on North Street on Sept. 27.

GREENWICH, CT — A 51-year-old Greenwich man, who police said is currently on probation, allegedly assaulted his probation officer during a late afternoon altercation at the suspect's North Street home this week, according to authorities.

The identity of the probation officer was not disclosed, but following the Sept. 27 incident, the suspect was taken to Greenwich Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

"Investigation revealed that while the Probation Officers were on scene attempting to speak with their Probationary client, the subject had aggressively pushed one of the officers," wrote Greenwich police in a statement.

Arrested on a charge of assault on a peace officer was Thomas W. Kennedy. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 11.
