Greenwich Man Faces Drug Charges After Town Teen Overdoses
Emergency personnel used Narcan to save the 18-year-old victim, according to police.

A Greenwich man is being held on narcotics-related charges in connection with the overdose of an 18-year-old town teen.
The unidentified teen is recuperating after emergency medical personnel used the drug Naxelone, commonly known as Narcan, to reverse the effects of a heroin overdose, according to Greenwich Police.
Greenwich narcotics officers investigating the Oct. 30 incident have arrested Casey J. Ritch, 37, who gave an address of 9 Buena Vista Dr., Greenwich, on Nov. 1 on charges of sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics. Ritch lives in the same western Greenwich neighborhood as the victim. Greenwich Police have not released further details on the incident.

Ritch, who has served jail time for convictions of threatening, conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of narcotics and probation violation, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond after his initial appearance in state Superior Court in Stamford on Nov. 3, according to the Connecticut Judicial website.
Ritch is scheduled to return to court Dec. 1, according to the website.
