Greenwich Movie Producer Pours Big Money Into CT Governor's Race

He reportedly donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to a political action committee, which backed the eventual Republican candidate.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich movie producer has poured $730,000 into Protect Freedom PAC, a Libertarian-leaning political action committee which is backing Republican Bob Stefanowski for Governor in the Aug. 14 Connecticut Primary, reports Connecticut Mirror.

Reverge Anselmo, whose movie credits include The Squid and the Whale and an upcoming biography of singer Janis Joplin, is the PAC's largest donor.

According to Anselmo's bio on the Internet Movie Database, he is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran whose father, Rene Anselmo, founded the satellite service PanAmSat.
