Greenwich Nursery School Students Brighten the Holidays for Town Seniors
First Presbyterian Church Nursery School include Greenwich seniors in their programs.
The First Presbyterian Church Nursery School hosted a reception for seniors in the Greenwich community after its annual Christmas Program dress rehearsal this past week.
There were more than 20 guests in attendance from Riverhouse as well as the First Presbyterian Church, including some school alumni. Seniors were invited to watch the dress rehearsal of the Christmas Concert in the Church Sanctuary followed by cookies and cocoa with some of the nursery school students in Fellowship Hall.
The holiday preview was the second project the school has completed with the seniors in the past month.

In November, FPCNS families came together to ensure that Seniors and the homebound enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal. Nursery School families baked pumpkin bread that was given to Seniors at the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors and the homebound. The school was able to give a loaf to every senior that attended the dinner, plus deliver more to those that couldn’t leave their homes.
This year, FPCNS Outreach is focusing on supporting Seniors in Greenwich, an often invisible population. The school’s programs are designed to improve the lives of others while allowing children to experience the satisfaction of helping those around them.
