Greenwich Nursing Home Fined After Resident Leaves: Report
A Greenwich nursing home was fined $10,000 after a resident with dementia briefly left the facility, according to the CT Health I-Team.

GREENWICH, CT — The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home in Greenwich has been fined $10,000 after a resident with dementia was able to leave the facility, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team reports.
The resident left the facility for approximately 15 minutes on Sept. 5, 2019, after a receptionist who thought the resident was a visitor called them a taxi, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team. Photos of residents "at risk for elopement" were posted at the nurses' stations and the main reception area following the incident.
