Greenwich Parks and Rec Announces Skatepark Opening

Skateboard fans — the season is ready to start at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

The Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that the Greenwich Skatepark will open Sunday, March 29, weather permitting.

The supervised facility at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park is for youths at least six years old, and will be open on weekends from 12:30 to 7 p.m., and on weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Annual memberships cost $175 and are available to residents at the Parks & Recreation Office in Town Hall, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The annual membership entitles the cardholder to use the park whenever it is open, and receive discounts on classes and competitions.
