Greenwich Parks & Rec. Announces 2nd Annual Photo Contest

Residents are encouraged to submit photos that express what they love most about the town's public parks and recreational facilities.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation announced the launch of its second annual community photo contest.

The contest will help celebrate National Parks and Recreation month this July. The contest will run from July 1-31, with the winners announced in August.

Community members are invited to show off their photographic talent by submitting up to four photos taken in Greenwich that express what residents love most about the town's public parks and recreational facilities.

Parents/guardians may submit photos taken by minors under 18. Participants do not have to be a resident of Greenwich, but all photos must be taken in Greenwich and must be of parks and recreation facilities, programs or events.

"We encourage community members to show off their photography skills, while also showing us what they love about Greenwich," said Parks and Recreation Director Joseph Siciliano. "We are really looking forward to seeing what participants capture during this year’s photo contest."

Submitted photos may be featured in Greenwich Parks and Recreation marketing materials - online and in print.

Photos can be submitted online here. Submitted photos should be high resolution originals and free of filters. Recent photos are preferred— all seasons. The submission deadline is Sunday, July 31.

Prizes are as follows:

  • 1st: Foursome golf certificate for the Griff (2022)
  • 2nd: (5) Single entry park tickets and (1) single entry parking ticket (2022)
  • 3rd: Parks & recreation gift basket
