GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation has launched a brief survey regarding the town's upcoming capital budget request and what residents want to see the department focus on.

Town departments submit capital budget requests to the first selectman in the fall as part of the town’s annual budget process. Capital projects are items that need funding that fall outside of the normal annual operating expenses like equipment, infrastructure and major upgrades to facilities.

Residents can share their feedback and ideas with a brief five-question survey which can be found here. The survey includes a link to view the existing town capital budget.

"Resources are limited, so prioritization of investment in the upcoming budget cycle is essential. We’re really looking forward to hearing from our community about the department’s current 15-year plan and where future investment should be focused," said Parks and Recreation Director Joe Siciliano,
