Greenwich Parks & Recreation Announces 3rd Annual Photo Contest

The contest will run from July 1 to July 31 with the winners announced in mid-August.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Parks & Recreation has announced its third annual community photo contest, titled "For the Love of Parks and Recreation," to celebrate National Parks and Recreation month this July.

The contest will run from July 1-31 with the winners announced in mid-August.

Parks & Rec. is an integral part of the Greenwich community, promoting health and wellness, and improving physical and mental health as well as the overall well-being of residents.

Over the past several years, the department said it has seen a significant increase in demand for the town's parks and public spaces. As a result, the Pars & Rec. team has worked diligently to safely maintain these areas.

Community members are invited to show off their photographic talent by submitting up to four photos taken in Greenwich that express what they love most about the town's public parks and recreational facilities.

Parents/guardians may submit photos taken by minors under 18. Participants do not have to be a resident of Greenwich, but all photos must be taken in Greenwich and must be of Parks & Recreation facilities, programs or events.

Photos can be submitted online here. Submitted photos should be high resolution originals and free of filters. Recent photos are preferred—all seasons.

The contest deadline is Monday, July 31.
