Greenwich PD Adds One Officer, Promotes Another
New recruit Steve Frano has a special connection to the Greenwich force.
GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police swore in a new officer on Monday and promoted another to the rank of Master Police Officer.
Steve Frano, a Greenwich native, is the department's newest member, and in college terms, you could call him a "legacy." His grandfather served in the department for 24 years, and Frano was issued his same number 115 in tribute.
Additionally, veteran Greenwich Police Officer Brian Tornga also was sworn in at his new rank of Master Police Officer, which means he has additional certifications such as EMT training.
