Greenwich 'Plan of Conservation and Development' Meeting 1/17/18
"A Plan of Conservation and Development is a blueprint for the future."

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Planning and Zoning officials will hold a workshop in January on the town's Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD), the guide to Greenwich's "physical and economic development for the next 10 years." The free workshop is open to the public and is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the Cole Auditorium at the Greenwich Library.
"The POCD assesses existing issues and opportunities in Greenwich, describes future goals for the community, and includes an action plan on how to achieve them," writes officials in a statement.
Among the items the plan will address include:

- Land use and development
- Public social spaces
- Housing cost and variety
- Transportation and mobility, including walking, cycling, and transit
- Parks and open space
- Public facilities and infrastructure
- Sustainability and resiliency, including sea level rise
- Historic structures and landscapes
- Changes in retail and work / economic development
- Implementation
