Greenwich In 'Planning Stages' To Honor Korean War Veterans
The town held a ceremony last year to honor Vietnam War veterans, and is now planning to pay tribute to Korean War veterans.
GREENWICH, CT — Last year, Greenwich honored Vietnam War veterans and the 50th anniversary of the end of the war, and now town officials are in the "planning stages" of holding a similar ceremony for veterans of the Korean War.
"This is early in the planning stages and we want to make sure that we have as much outreach as possible to our veterans," First Selectman Fred Camillo said in his most recent community newsletter. "More details will be released when we have locked a date and time down."
If you are a Korean War veteran or know someone who is, you are urged to reach out to Ken Borsuk, executive assistant to the first selectman, via email at ken.borsuk@greenwichct.gov, or by phone at 203-622-7702.
