Greenwich Police Department Swears In 2 New Officers
The officers were sworn in last week at Greenwich Police Headquarters.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department welcomed two new officers into the ranks last week.
Albert Miano and James Luciano were sworn in during a brief ceremony at police headquarters. First Selectman Fred Camillo administered the oaths.
Miano graduated from Western Connecticut State University and Naugatuck Valley Community College, according to the town of Greenwich website. He served in the US Navy from July 1997 to May 1999 and was in the Army National Guard from December 1999 to December 2002.

Miano was previously an officer with the New York City Police Department, New York State Police, and the Pound Ridge, N.Y. Police Department.
Luciano is a New York native and graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2022, the town website said. Luciano was a seasonal park ranger with the Westchester County Police and worked within the parks, environmental and marine units.

"The Greenwich Police Department is thankful Officer Miano selected GPD to continue his service and that Office Luciano selected GPD to begin his career in law enforcement," the town said in a news release. "After attending the police training, they will provide service, respect, courage, fairness, and diligence to the residents and visitors of the town of Greenwich."
