Greenwich Police Host Open House This Weekend

The rain-or-shine event will feature tours of the department's downtown facility and other activities.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department will host its annual Police Day Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, May 13, at the department's headquarters on Bruce Place.

The event, held in conjunction with the Junior League of Greenwich and National Police Week, allows the public to tour the department's downtown facility and meet its men and women in blue. There will also be activities for children.

Additionally, the event honors the Greenwich Police Department's fallen heroes who died, according to Capt. Kraig Gray.

"Each year we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty," said Gray.

In addition to tours, members of the department's Special Response Unit, Marine Police and other divisions will discuss what their roles.

The Greenwich Police Day Open House is free and will take place on Saturday rain or shine.
