Greenwich Police Launch Sexual Assault Investigation: PD

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Special Victims Section has launched a sexual assault investigation after receiving information last week, according to an announcement from the department on Friday.

"The incident is alleged to have happened off school grounds and outside of school hours. It is important to remember that these are allegations and the department is currently working on this case to get the facts. Individuals should not spread rumors or circulate misinformation," Capt. John Slusarz wrote via email. Police did not specify which school.

"The alleged victim is a juvenile; coupled with the allegations their privacy will be protected and the department cannot issue any further statements at this time," Slusarz added.

Slusarz said there is no threat to the public, and police will release more information when possible.
