Greenwich Police Looking To Hire Public Safety Dispatchers

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is looking to hire Public Safety Dispatch Telecommunicators, also known as dispatchers, according to officials.

Dispatchers answer and respond "to 911 emergency and non-emergency radio and telephone calls for police, fire, emergency medical services (EMS), and other associated services in the Town of Greenwich."

The position pays an hourly salary of between $28.14 and $38.86.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, in addition to "three (3) years of professional experience in the provision of services using computer technology in a fast-paced environment, or in the provision of public safety services."

Also, the department would prefer that applicants also have prior public safety telecommunications experience.

Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on April 6.
