Greenwich Police Remind Residents About Gift Card Scams
With the holiday season here, police are reminding residents about gift card scams.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is reminding residents about gift card scams with the holidays right around the corner.
"The Police Department will not call you to have you pay a fine, warrant or any other violation over the phone with gift cards or other digital formats," police said in a social media post Monday.
Those who believe they've been a victim of a scam can call the GPD's non-emergency number at 203-622-8004.

Gift card scams can also be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.
