Greenwich Police Seek ID Of Suspects In 'Distraction-Type' Thefts

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police are seeking information regarding suspects in a couple of recent thefts reported in the town's central business district.
In a Facebook post Thursday, police said a woman, in concert with a man, is suspected to have been involved in "at least two distraction-type" thefts.
"The female, in concert with a male...approaches an elderly victim and distracts the victim by dropping money," the post reads. "When the victim looks for the 'dropped money,' the [woman] will enter the victim's vehicle and steal their purse."

Police said both incidents occurred in the parking lot area of 240 Greenwich Avenue. Police included a photo of the suspect in the post, which can be viewed in full here.
