Greenwich Police Sergeant Honored For Forensics Work
His work on a recent homicide case helped lead to the capture of the suspect.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Police Sgt. Pier Corticelli, who supervises the department's Forensics Division, was recently awarded a department commendation for his work that helped lead to the capture of the suspect in the killing of Valerie Reyes.
Corticelli is recognized around the state as an expert in forensics, particularly in the collection and study of trace evidence, according to Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. Corticelli supervises a four-member forensics team.
"He's very meticulous," Slusarz told Patch. "Sgt. Corticelli and his team are very good at their jobs."
