Greenwich Police Swear In New Officer
The department's newest officer, Turiya Hamilton, was recently sworn in.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police and First Selectman Fred Camillo swore in the department's newest officer, Turiya Hamilton, at the town's public safety complex Monday.
In a news release, police said Hamilton worked as a judicial marshal for the state judicial branch prior to becoming a Greenwich police officer. She also has experience as a certified nursing assistant. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Hamilton was born in Roundrock, Texas, and raised in Racine, Wis. She graduated from Washington Park High School a full year early in 2014 and later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Bridgeport in 2018.

She also attended Gateway Technical College and Westfield State University.
Her cousin, Myles Barry, also works as a police officer for the Caledonia Police Department in Wisconsin.
