Greenwich Police Warn Of Phone Scam

Police said Tuesday that several residents have received calls recently.

GREENWICH, CT — Police are warning residents about a phone scam in which a caller purports to be Greenwich police Sgt. Daniel Bucci.

The department said in a tweet Tuesday afternoon that Bucci is not contacting anyone and advising them to wire money through a bank app in order to avoid arrest.

Police noted that several residents have received calls recently.
