Greenwich Police Warn Residents Of Parking Services Text Scam
Residents should not respond to text messages for unpaid parking invoices, police said.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is warning residents about a text scam regarding unpaid parking fines and tickets.
Residents should not respond to text messages for unpaid parking invoices, the department said.
"The Town of Greenwich does not attempt to solicit payment in this manner," police said. "No matter what type of bill a text or email is claiming to be for, especially if you were not expecting one, you should contact the alleged party directly and not through a link attached to the text or email."
