Greenwich Public Schools Closed Thursday
District officials monitored Wednesday's snow storm and come up with the decision early Thursday.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Public Schools are closed on Thursday, March 8, as the town continues to dig out from Wednesday’s snow storm. Officials considered a two-hour delayed opening but changed that decision due to the conditions.
The district released the following statement Wednesday evening concerning Thursday's schedule:
At a minimum, all Greenwich Public Schools will follow a TWO-HOUR DELAYED OPENING schedule tomorrow, Thursday, March 8.
"We will review the status of the roads in the early morning hours," wrote district officials in a statement. "Based on the timing of the end of the storm, the amount of snow that has accumulated, the time required for the road crews to clear the roads, and addressing any other damages resulting from the storm, we may decide to close schools.
