Greenwich Ranked High In 'Best Places To Live In CT' List: Niche

GREENWICH, CT — The town of Greenwich was ranked high in Niche's 2022 list of best places to live in Connecticut.

Niche.com, a website which lets users explore schools and neighborhoods based on rankings, creates the annual Best Places to Live rankings by using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, and CDC combined with resident reviews. The company considers factors such as affordability, the local housing market, neighborhood diversity, area public schools, walkability and more.

Niche also released the 2022 Best Places to Live in America rankings. In the eighth consecutive year that Niche has produced these rankings, 228 cities and 18,515 towns and neighborhoods were included.

This year, The Woodlands, Texas remains the No. 1 Best City to Live in America. Chesterbrook, PA, a neighborhood in the Philadelphia area, keeps its title as the No. 1 Best Place to Live in America for the third year in a row.

No. 6, Old Greenwich

Old Greenwich was ranked No. 6, behind West Hartford, Southport, Weatogue, Avon and Simsbury.

"Living in Old Greenwich offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes," Niche said. "In Old Greenwich there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families live in Old Greenwich and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Old Greenwich are highly rated."
